Top 4 Benefits For Being On Twitter.com

You hear that businesses, celebrities, politicians, groups and organizations all are active on Twitter. John McCain, Shaquille O’neil and even President Obama all publicize their Twitter accounts.

So why is all this buzz about being on Twitter talked about every single day all over the media?

Why is it relevant to you?

Well, other than it being a platform for your average “social butterfly” to stay connected with their “followers” and anyone they wish, it has some tremendous benefits for any business.

Here are the 4 main benefits of using Twitter for your online & offline business:

1. Influence

-As you build your “followers” and post informative, entertaining and inspiring content, people will value what you have to say. As long your not posting relentless sales pitches and take the “DON’T TAKE, GIVE FIRST” philosophy, your listeners will be responsive to you.

2. More Traffic To Your Website

-You can’t put enough value on FREE traffic to your website. Why do you think the top 25 ranked Twitter spots are being offered up to $250,000 to sell their accounts? As an online business owner I can tell you that SEO can take forever to get results and Google Pay Per Click can easily cost you $5K-$10K a month.

3. More Money

- The top internet marketers can literally spend a couple hours writing one sales letter to promote a product, blast it out on Twitter and have $10K in sales come in 24 hours. I’m not joking. Of course that is after building a big list of followers, a relationship with them and mastering some copywriting skills. How would you like to have a fraction of that success as your starting out?

4. More Opportunity

- As your professional, value filled presence is built on Twitter, opportunities that you never thought possible will fall into your lap. I personally know marketers that have been approached by companies to engage in partnerships, television shows, and joint venture because of their Twitter profile. In the brief time I have been using Twitter I have gained strong referrals and customers.

Twitter is the fastest growing social media platform on the web according to www.Alexa.com, and definitely the “coolest kid” on the block in the web 2.0 world.

I’m sure you have heard this saying:

“invest in yourself more than your business”

If this is the first time you have heard that sentence then take
it to heart because the great Jim Rohn said it and it’s so true.
I personally have been building my online business for 3 years
now. For the first 2 years I made the mistake of being so
“tunnel visioned” on only completeing task after task after task.
I was building websites, placing ads, and speaking to prospects, but
wasn’t getting the results I thought I should be getting.

Something was still missing.

It wasn’t until I started investing in my own personal growth, that real
success began.

So many entrepreneurs are too focused on going from task to task
without investing in themselves. When I say investing, I mean spending
30-60 minutes a day to develop themselves mentally and physically.

Here is the breakdown:

1. Mental/Emotional development

2. Physical development

As far as mental/emotional development goes, I read at least 30-60
minutes a day from my small library of personal development
books. A favorite book I’m reading again is The New
Psycho-Cybernetics
by Maxwell Maltz, MD
. This is known as the
“grandaddy” of self development books written in 1960 & revised in 2001.

I also listen to educational cd’s in my car, watch informative
videos and practice forms of meditation.

Just absorb something daily & take action on it!

When you do this, you will have plenty of “ah ha” moments and
ideas that you would have never discovered. This keeps you
ahead of your competition and keeps your mindset in check.

Physically improving your body is just as important. I
usually take a morning walk to get the heart rate up & mentally visualize
my day/week/month. Walking actually helps reset over 180 internal
mechanisms in the body which helps focus on the important goals.

In doing these things, your overall mental and physical
attributes are improved therefore affecting how you run your
business and life. You will be amazed at the ongoing transformation
when you take these actions daily.

What are the two biggest problems for anyone trying to build a
home business? Well, I have asked around and here is what people are sayin’.

#1 Finding interested people to present my opportunity to.

#2 Distributors quitting after you have recruited them (aka – attrition)

We all know this is a numbers game and you must get “your story”
in front of as many people as possible each and everyday. This
applies to really any and all businesses, especially home
businesses.

If you have been told by your upline to contact 100 people in
your “warm market”, pass out business cards & post “bandit
signs” all over the streets, I would tell you to run and run
away quickly
. This is network marketing, and in my opinion that
is not marketing at all. Those old school methods are the very reason 97%
of people are starved out of this industry.

I have executed all those techniques to exhaustion and it
doesn’t work in the long run at all. People are so numb to
being pitched, especially when they are not even looking for a
business venture.

It is flat out annoying.

Secondly, would you keep building a business that hasn’t put any
money in your pocket after months and months of hard work?
Probably not, right?

There is nothing more gut wrenching than spending tons of time
training someone just to see them turn into Casper the ghost.

You need to increase the odds of finding interested people and
retaining them, right? You do this by having a state of the art marketing system in
your holster which makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd! That’s it.

You want a system that has been time tested and has all the necessary
components or you will still be dead in the water.

The right system will:

*be duplicable for your team

*provide 90% of the vital training because you can’t train

everyone yourself

*provide all the websites and technical stuff

*be working for you when you sleeping(this is leverage)

*be branding you as a leader from day one

*be making sales from all the people that say no to your primary

business opportunity

These are vital components to the long term success of yourself
and your team. To get the additional necessary details, login

I can’t tell you how many times I have had conversations with new online entrepreneurs, just a few months in the business, telling me that they have been working hard and are not getting the results they thought they should be getting.

After asking them questions, I discover that what they thought should be happening at this point is actually not realistic. For some reason a certain percentage of people believe success should be happening a lot sooner than it actually can. And what is more interesting is that the same people are putting in a fraction of the work required and expecting extra special results.

Guess what, their expectations a way off base and they need to be brought back to reality.

A typical traditional business can take 2-5 years to come into profit with lots of hard work. So with that being said, I can only assume that the “lottery ticket – get rich quick” mentality is just ramped in the online business industry.

If wealth building from home has got you down and you feel like quitting, listen to how I overcame that and how two important ways of thinking can help you push through all the obstacles to success.

So if your short on cash and need leads for your online business, where do you turn?
Why social media, of course….

O.k., but your new to all this lead generation stuff and have a finite amount of time to spare so which platform should you focus on, Facebook or Twitter?

My answer would be both.

~Here is what you do~

Use Twitter to create a strong presence of yourself by posting valuable content relating to your niche and building your “following” of other Tweeters who are in your target market. The key is consistency and quality of your content and your interactions with others.

Once you build some type of connection with your fellow Tweeters, then link each other to your Facebook profiles and other website to build a more personal relationship. Always provide some type of value and solutions to people’s problems in your content.

Now this is only the “tip of the iceberg” on what you should know. To get the rest of theses vital tips to maximize your efforts, log into my “marketing newsletter” in the box above by putting in your name and email address right now.
