Does Online And Offline Marketing = Effective Advertising?

I know many people that are 100% online marketers and some that are 100% offline marketing freaks.

Is it wise to live and die by one of them?  Can one method be considered effective advertising?  Well that depends on a few factors.

If you are a seasoned well versed online marketer like a Mike Dillard, Eben Pagan, or Perry Marshall that has paid their dues, then you can definitely build a huge business strickley online.  Don’t forget these people have gone through years of failure to get were they are today.  Success doesn’t happen immediately, especially online.

However if you are an internet “marketing newbie” then going purely online could be a long road to building your business.  Online marketing is a momentum building process.  It is persistence over time that prevails when building your presence and generating leads on the web.  Effective advertising in the long term is definitely  going to occur from your online efforts.

Online Marketing

On the other side of the coin, the “old school” strategies of the 80′s & 90′s still have merit. I am referring to passing out business cards, having home meetings, and hitting up your family and friends.  I am the believer that this strategy alone is only effective for a select few dynamic individuals.  For the masses, this is a dead end approach if it is the only technique you are using.  It is simply a turn off for most business builders.

offline marketing

O.k., so what avenue do you take?

If you are the average new home business owner I would suggest to do a mix of both.

Being that there can be a lengthy online marketing learning curve, you must fill in that gap with another source of recruiting distributors.  No matter how much some people claim they don’t know anyone  in their warm market they could introduce to their business, they reality is the opposite.  If you think about it, anything good that has happened in your life, was directly related to another person.  If it wasn’t for other people in your network, you probably wouldn’t have gotten that job, or met that special someone.

So in the beginning, as your learning how to accomplish effective advertising online, fill in the gap with some warm market recruiting.  This can give you some initial “juice” to get going right out of the gate.

How hard is it to ask someone you respect this question:  “Hey John, I am looking for a few talented individuals to help me promote and exploding direct sales business.  Now I can’t make any promises but do you keep your options open as far as generating additional income?”

I bet you get a yes 8 out of 10 times to that question.

How hard is it to order some “Drop Cards” with your website on them and drop 1 card in each newspaper in 5 newspaper stands every other day?

As your waiting for your lead generation to start coming in from your internet marketing efforts, these simple offline techniques can fill in the lack of activity.

Are You 100% “IN” Regarding Your (Network Marketing Home Business)?

Building a successful long term network marketing home business requires a commitment level higher than most people realize.  Too many “would be” entrepreneurs sabotage themselves with the mentality that if the give it the old “college try” for a couple of months that they really gave it their best shot.  Nothing could be farther form the truth in my opinion.

First of all, if someone uses the word “try” in regards to building their network marketing home business, they are already setting themselves up for failure.  The word “try” is a mentally built in subliminal in excuse to fail.  So I always tell these to remove it from there vocabulary.  Don’t “try”, just “do it” no matter what.

With that being said, a new home business owner needs to ask themselves what their “why” is before they even get started.  If your “why” is very strong, then so will be your commitment level.  You will look at obstacles as steps bringing you closer to success.  If your “why” is weak, then your commitment level will be weak as well and you will quit as soon as adversity hits you in the face.

Click here for the Network Marketing Home Business video summary.

Here are some key question/indicators that will reveal your commitment level to your network marketing home business:

1. Are you actually using your product or service yourself?  Are you on auto order?  If not you are definitely not “IN” and will never have real success.

2. Are you enthusiastically passionate about  your business or is it just something your doing to hopefully make a few bucks?  No passion will tell your prospects that your not “IN”

3. Are you sharing your product/service with as many people as possible?  If your hesitant  to share and not proud of your opportunity, then your not “IN”.

4. Are you plugging into every available training call and support platform your company offers?  If not, your not “IN”

5. Are you attending live events?  This is a biggie and usually the single biggest factor to look for in a true commitment level.  If not, your not “IN”.

These are the top 5 “litmus test”  indicators on the commitment level of individuals to their network marketing home business.  If your not checking off each question with a definite “Yes” then I would re-evaluate your role as a business owner before going any further. Why waste your time and money and especially your sponsor’s time if your not really “IN”?

Do you think successful CEO’s of fortune 500 companies are skipping their company conventions and not passionate about what they do?  Of they are,why shouldn’t you?

Not only do you want to decide what your own commitment level is to your business, but also your own consultants you recruit.  There is nothing worse then spending hours of valuable time with someone only to see them disappear like Casper the ghost without even trying.  I always ask how serious a person is, and most importantly watch their actions in regard to the “5 question” check list.  If they are not showing the commitment, I suggest you do not show then yours in regards to training them.

Why Network Marketing Training(Direct Selling) Teaches You The Vital Skill Sets

My dad always told me to go to school, get good grades, get a secure job, and save save save.
I’m sure you have heard this advice at some point of your life.

If you think about it, going to school teaches you skill sets that are not really business
related.  Yes, you learn a lot of book smarts, but your mostly taught how to fill out a good resume to get a job.  In other words your taught to build someone else’s dream’s, not your own.

If your taught to be an employee and you accept that role in your career, your
automatically accepting different values.  Employees value things like security, a steady
paycheck and benefits.  Those can be good things for a lot of people, but automatically limit yourself to probably never producing real wealth and true freedom.

If you think like a business owner, your values are quit different from that of an employee.  An
entrepreneur values things like freedom, not having to go to a job everyday, a certain risk tolerance, leveraging and team building.  These values allow you to earn income from the efforts of others and not just your own.

Would you rather be earning 10% from the efforts of 1,000 people or 100% of your own efforts?  I think we know the answer to that.  Not to mention, if you became disabled and not able to work your still going to be paid over and over again.

So if a traditional education wont teach you the skill sets of entrepreneurs then where do you acquire these things? According to author, Robert Kiyosaki, network marketing training in the direct selling industry is your best bet.

Why?

Because network marketing training will teach you how to sell, how to overcome rejection, and learn skill sets that will be applicable to owning your own business.  You will not get this from a college classroom.  What’s even more appealing it that the training is generally free when you join an MLM or direct selling company.  The company will also be very patient and allow to take your time in learning these skill sets as well.

The amount of support is unparalleled through network marketing training.  A typical person is almost incapable of using all the training available, which makes this even more attractive.  If you think about it, were else can you start your own business for under $500, receive professional training at your own pace, with the potential to make millions of dollars passively?  If that doesn’t excite you then nothing will.

The statistics all show the same results, and that is, business owners and investors generally are more financially secure than the average employee. I think we could all agree that job security is a thing of the past, so even being an employee is not as secure as it use to be.

The network marketing training you receive through a direct selling company alone is worth taking advantage of even if you don’t prefer to be involved in particular multi level marketing company itself.

So if you value freedom and are risk tolerant, find a great direct selling company, soak up
all the training like a sponge, and watch what happens to your income and lifestyle.

Facebook Marketing – Why You Should Use The “Like” & “Comment” Buttons

Are you on Facebook for business reasons or just social fun?

If your answer was primarily for business, then keep reading.

As of today, Facebook is the second most trafficked  website on the planet
next to Google.  If you are a marketer, and that doesn’t get you excited, you
may need to check your pulse to make sure your alive.

With that being said, there are lots features and options on Facebook to allow
it’s users to connect, converse and share things with others.  But to really
understand this social platform and use Facebook marketing for business
purposes, you must understand the “law of reciprocity” and that it is alive
and well.  In other words if you do “this” for someone they will usually
feel obligated to “do it” back to you.

What I mean is that if you make nice compliments on someone’s picture, they
will more than likely do the same to yours.  On the same note, if you never
comment on other people’s posts, pictures, or videos, you will probably
never get comments from them.

So this leads us to two important, but often overlooked features on Facebook.
They seem so simple that most disregard them without realizing their importance.

I am referring to the “like” and “comment” buttons.  So when we have our Facebook
marketing “caps” on we need to remember that we want people reading our content
and interacting, right?  The more that people read your posts, the more likely they
will want to know more about you and then click on your links that take them to
your business/service/products.

That is the sequence, make sense?

This is really a “give & take” relationship and Facbook knows this.  That’s why you want
to spend time each and every day reading your friends posts and clicking the “like” button
if you really like what they have posted.

Don’t you like it when someone makes a nice compliment to you, whether it’s regarding
what your wearing or your new haircut?  It’s is human nature to enjoy receiving compliments
and then give them back to the same person.  There is a natural obligation to do this.
Now don’t think that clicking the “like” button on every post is the answer to
successful Facebook marketing.  It’s the same in real life, people will know when you don’t
mean it, so don’t over use them in the social media world.

The “comment” feature is similar but allows more flexibility and creativity for the user.  Now
you can add your own personal insight to someone’s content.  This can be positive, negative
or neutral, so think about what your going to say carefully before posting it.

To take it a step further, if your clever, your comments can interest other people to
click on your profile to give yourself more exposure.  This is an overlooked technique.
So be interesting, helpful and enlightening and this will attract others to your profile.

When both the “like” & “comment” features are used day in and day out in your Facebook
marketing they will create relationships with others and kind of a “buzz” of attraction.
You will look like someone people should follow and learn more about.  This ultimately
leads to more exposure, traffic and profits.

Happy Facebook marketing!

Want Website Visitors Who Keep Coming Back? Find Them On Facebook & Digg

Nothing makes website owners happier than loyal, website visitors that keep coming back.   But finding these repeat visitors can often be difficult.  A study by an online ad network Chitika suggests that the two best sources may be Facebook and Digg.

The study is based on 33 million unique website visitors & compared those website visitors coming from major traffic sources – Digg, Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and Twitter – to the number of times those visitors came back to the referred site.  A “loyal user” was a visitor who came to the site 4 plus times in the same week.  Now those are the visitors we all want to find.

Here is a video summary that explains things further:

Get full screen version of were to get loyal Website Visitors by clicking here

Facebook was by far the best provider of loyal users – over 20% of all visitors from Facebook revisited the site four or more times per week. Digg came in a close second with slightly over 16%.  For those of you that love Twitter, it came in last place at only 11% of the visitors returning to the referred website.

So if your not already on Facebook & Digg, then I suggest you do so immediately and start networking with people on those sites.
