Man, I so agree with you. I see these requests everywhere now.
It is very easy to use, just text a keyword to 90210 and you get coupons,discounts etc.
It is the biggest wave in advertising since social media but like you said the adoption rate it much higher for this than social media and once they decided that they needed to do that that everyone is there, it is only a matter of time before every one is using text.

I would NEVER go with a free blog as it can get shutdown without any notice and there is nothing you can do about it. Always go with the paid for blog if you plan on making it your long-term site.
